Babies often experience nasal congestion (snuffles) due to mucus accumulation, which they can’t easily clear out. This congestion, along with chest congestion, is common in colds, flu, and other respiratory infections, making newborns more susceptible. Symptoms include noisy breathing, feeding difficulties, runny nose, sneezing, coughing, wheezing, fever, and disrupted sleep. While most colds resolve in 5-7 days for older children, it can take up to two weeks for babies.
